The speedometer in my car does not work now. So, the speedometer on the car with 134k miles went out with a p501 code. I put 2001 rb4 speedo in 2003 car and speedo not working. I removed all the road wheels and cleaned all the abs speed sensors and checked their wiring. Do you need to know if it can be repaired or if replacement is the only option? The odometer and everything else is fine. Sometimes the rpm and speed dials work and sometimes they dont. Speedometer & odometer not working, gas gauge jumps all over the place when i go around turns. Speedometer and tachometer quit working at same time. Is your audi speedometer not working?
I just never found a conclusive answer.

Not sure about an audi, but usually there are not alrm sensors on engine compartment on any vehicle , unless an extra has been installed by the owner. I think there is a fuse that is with some other thing that will make these gauges not work?

Speedometer & tachometer didn't work. Still worth checking the 12v before dropping a grand on the speedo, the loss of door locks is a clue, and not related to the speedo. Is your audi speedometer not working?
