Here are some of the most common issues that cause a vehicle to not crank I dont think its the battery because the head lights still work, i dont. No warning lights on dash. My audi a7 is doing the same thing. Half an hour later no start. It will crank and crank and crank and usually after about a half hour, trying every five minutes or so, it will start. It cranked saturday morning and i drove it to volkswagen again and the service guy said i needed i drove it back home but made a stop and it wouldn't crank again. My 2004 audi a4 3.0 v6 has been sitting for about 7 months , i changed out the battery and it cranked right up, hours later i went to crank it when turning to the on position everything lights up but the car wont even try to crank. Wont start, service start system. Do you mean wont crank or cranks audi a4 2.0 lt 2006 engine cranks but wont start.
It's also possible that the timing belt has slipped.

Cranks but no start can be one of two problems, no fuel or no spark.since you recently did work on the plugs i'm guessing the latter is the problem. Does your car start, but won't shut off?

I dont think its the battery because the head lights still work, i dont. There could be many reasons as to why this is happening. The fuel pump engages and pressurizes the lines, spark plugs are sparking, main relay is engaging, replaced camshaft sensor.
